Q. Why Should I use a Loss Assessor?
A. Every insurance company appoints a Loss Adjuster to all household claims and the insured needs a professional with the detailed knowledge required to assess and compile the various sections of your claim, ensuring you receive your full entitlement without stress or strain.

Q. What is a Loss Adjuster?
A. A Loss Adjuster is the insurance industry professional employed by the Insurance Company to act on their behalf. They make sure that all your policy conditions are met and in addition will assess the level of cover by your policy. This is why it so important to appoint an assessor at the beginning of your claim.

Q. What happens when you make a claim?
A. Following a new claim to your insurers they will appoint a Loss Adjuster to act on their behalf. The Loss Adjuster’s main role is to minimise the cost to the insurers or turn down a claim, under the strict terms of the policy. He will not cost you any money as his fees are paid by the insurers. However the role of a Loss Adjuster does not involve the preparation and detailed presentation of the claim, only the adjustment.

Q. What do I do if I suffer a loss?
A. Contact us immediately on 087-1958363 and we will advise you of what channels to take in the event of insurance claims. We will inform you of your first steps to take and be out to your premises within 24 hours.

Q. At what stage should I appoint a Loss Assessor?
A. Ideally immediately after the incident happens however, at anytime you have the right to appoint someone to act on your behalf.

Q. Do I call a Loss Assessor or my Insurance Company first?
A. The normal process would be to call your assessor first to survey the extent of the damage and they can call your insurance company, report the claim and give them an estimate for the proposed works.

Q. How much do you charge?
A. Our fee is a small percentage of the claim settled to a maximum of 10%. The first survey and inspection is free. In the unlikely event that no insurance claim arises then no fee will be charged.

Q. How long will it take for the insurance claim to be settled?
A. From day one the claims process should take between 6-8 weeks without any complications.

Q. When do I receive payment in respect of my insurance claim?
A. You should receive your payment within 14 days after settlement has been agreed with their Loss Adjuster. Loss Assessors Ireland will ensure that everything is completed in a timely manner so that the claim settled as quickly as possible.
